Hugo Spritz, the aperitif of the Dolomites

We are at the dawn of the twentieth century, when in the valleys of the majestic Dolomites, during the months of May and June, a custom sees the light: the collection of small and white elderflowers to create a delicious syrup that bears their own name. Nothing is left to chance, not even the moment in which these fragrant flowers are picked. Never at dawn, when they are still closed in their maximum splendor, nor too late in the afternoon, when the sun has spent too much time with them.

Elderflower, water, lemons and sugar are the ingredients that, harmonized with care, give life to a nectar that delights the senses and, at the same time, gives energy and refreshes, perfect for satisfying every person, regardless of age. They are natural elements, grown and developed in uncontaminated territories, expertly mixed and left to rest without haste.

As our ancestors teach us, the syrup is then diluted in water for the younger ones and in wine for the more mature ones.

The years pass, the decades follow one another, but one thing is certain: the Hugo never ceases to be loved. Thus, tradition is combined with modernity.

Times have changed beautifully, and with them also the rhythms, but the meticulous attention to the sublime quality of the ingredients remains impeccably constant. Hugo, as he well knows, sips a powerful transformation and renames himself Hugo Spritz: a ready-to-wear drink that only craves a couple of ice cubes, a few mint leaves and, if the soul desires, a slice of green apple to give itself ready to be appreciated.
