The black Tomba slope
The black Tomba slope, located in the Ciampedie ski area between Vigo di Fassa and Pozza di Fassa, is dedicated to the legendary Italian skier who trained here for the World Cup.
This route stretches for over 1 km, with an elevation gain of about 300 meters.
Once you have climbed the agile Pian Pecei - Prà Martin ski lift, head towards the central slope; deviating to the left leads to the Cigolade slope, while on the right there is the variant of the Prà Martin slope.
After an initial stretch with a slight slope, you immediately encounter the first steep wall, short but enough to reduce the speed of even the most experienced skiers. Passing under the chairlift requires special attention to avoid falls. This first steep section ends in a medium-steep section that curves to the right, leading to a second wall that must be tackled with caution.
In this phase you begin to glimpse Pian Pecei and the valley station of the chairlift. After a few curves on challenging slopes, you can continue with elegant fast curves until the start of the chairlifts, or head towards Pera di Fassa to reach the Vajolet 2 and 1 slopes.
This slope offers a unique experience immersed in the magnificent Dolomite scenery of Val di Fassa, recommended only for expert skiers due to its technical characteristics and the challenges it presents in its highest part.
Technical Data:
- length 1000 meters
