Rifugio Vicenza

The Vicenza Refuge is an alpine refuge located in the heart of the Sassolungo group in South Tyrol, at an altitude of 2,256 metres. It is an ideal base for hikers and mountaineers, offering connections to climb Sassolungo, the Schuster via ferrata to Sassopiatto, and the Sassolungo circuit. It offers 69 beds in dormitories and is open from May to the end of October.

Starting points and itineraries

Access: Reachable by following trails 525 or 526 from the Sella Pass.

Climbs: Ideal starting point for climbing Sassolungo (3,178 m).

Via Ferrata: Provides access to the famous Schuster Via Ferrata on Sassopiatto.

Excursions: Excellent starting point for the Sassolungo circular hike.
